Mr. Pike has a long history in the area of healthcare and women’s reproductive health. He has taken drugs and devices through the FDA and been instrumental in making them commercially successful. He served as the Chairman and CEO of Finishing Enterprises, Inc. (“FEI”) from 1987-1994. During that period, he introduced the Paraguard IUD into the U.S market and expanded sales and distribution of the company’s contraceptive products into over 100 countries. When J&J acquired U.S. distribution rights to its Paraguard, FEI was the world’s largest IUD manufacturer. He created joint ventures with Schering AG for Eastern Europe, and Hindustan Latex LTD., where he established an FDA compliant contraceptive, pharmaceutical, manufacturing plant in Travandrum, India. He also acquired contraceptive technologies from J&J and the Population Council and established Enhance Pharmaceuticals, which was sold to Barr Labs in 1992. Mr. Pike was also selected by the Population Council to take the controversial drug mifepristone (RU-486) through the FDA.

Mr. Edwards has over 14 years of experience providing legal guidance to public and private companies on issues relating to corporate governance, business strategy and technology licensing. Mr. Edwards originally joined Cosmederm as General Counsel in 2006. Prior to that, he was Director of West Coast Business Development for UTEK, a publicly traded company that specializes in technology licensing and transfer. Mr. Edwards coordinates company operations and also manages all patent, intellectual property and licensing matters. He is a graduate of Princeton University where he was a recipient of the Alexander Maitland Stewart Scholarship and a member of Princeton's 1989 Ivy League Championship Football team.  Mr. Edwards received his Juris Doctorate from The University of San Diego, School of Law

A graduate of Stanford University (BS, Biology, 1974) and the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine (M.D., 1978), Dr. Hahn is a licensed physician in California and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor, Immunology and Allergy Division, Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego. While pursuing post-graduate studies in Molecular Immunology at the University of California, San Diego Department of Biology, Dr. Hahn co-founded Immunetech Pharmaceuticals in 1981 (renamed Dura Pharmaceuticals, a publicly traded pharmaceutical company that was sold to Elan Pharmaceuticals in 2000 for approximately $1.8 billion). At Immunetech, Dr. Hahn served as Senior Vice President for Research and Scientific Director. Subsequent to his tenure with Immunetech, Dr. Hahn founded Cosmederm Technologies and invented COSMEDERM-7™, Cosmederm’s proprietary platform technology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Society for Investigative Dermatology,Society of Sigma Xi and is an author of numerous publications, book chapters and pharmaceutical patents in the fields of immunology & allergy and dermatology.
After receiving a degree in Early Childhood Education from Drake University, Mrs Quinby embarked on a career in the entrainment industry as an independent make-up artist. Kerrie spent six years in Hollywood, working closely with celebrity clients on feature films such as Titanic. As a result of her success in Hollywood, Kerrie was hired by Stila Cosmetics to act as an educational artist for the brand. Stila was subsequently purchased by Estee Lauder, and Kerrie was promoted to national educator; in this capacity she worked with Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstroms and other high-profile retail clients. Kerrie joined Cosmederm Technologies in 2001 as a product educator and now holds a position as Vice President of Product Development. She is responsible for assessing market needs and new product development as well as managing our international accounts.
Helen manages the financial, tax and accounting functions at Cosmederm. Previously she had a CPA practice and was a supervisor with Touche Ross &Co. (now Deloitte Touche.) Helen has more than 28 years experience in public accounting and private industry. While in private practice her clients included small businesses as well as major publicly-held corporations. She was an author and instructor of continuing education programs sponsored by the California Society of CPAs. She has also taught at the University of California in San Diego.

Dr. Riley is an executive management consultant who has provided comprehensive consulting services bridging the gap between medicine, clinical research and business. He has over 35 years experience in the evaluation and development of entrepreneurial ideas in the technical/medical/dental fields. He has worked in a wide range of fields ranging from the development of Nutraceutical products, to consulting for the Surface Science Center at SUNY Buffalo. He was part of a five-man team that developed the initial research on dental implants, now one of the most successful areas in all of Dentistry. Dr. Riley has significant ties to Venture Capital and Investment Banking community and has expertise in building business relationships focusing on rapport, trust and loyalty.

 

Scientific Advisory Board

Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco, and Chair of Cosmederm's Scientific Advisory Board, Dr. Maibach is a recognized expert in the field of Dermatology, and specifically, dermatopharmacology and dermatotoxicology. Dr. Maibach has published over 1700 articles on various dermatology-related subjects, and is a frequent lecturer on various subjects related to dermatology. Dr. Maibach has been on the editorial boards of over 30 scientific journals and is a member of 19 professional societies including the American Academy of Dermatology, San Francisco Dermatological Society, and the International Commission on Occupational Health. His bibliography contains 1,950 publications.

Dr. Herbst is a clinical oncologist with the UCSD Cancer Center, clinical professor of medicine at the UCSD School of Medicine and former Deputy Surgeon General of the U.S. Army Reserve. He served a 4-year term as Governor for the Southern California III Region of the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine, the second largest physician group in the U.S. His role at UCSD Cancer Center is that of director of UCSD’s Adult Sickle Cell Diseases Comprehensive Treatment Center and as director of UCSD’s Adult Hemophilia Comprehensive Treatment Center. Dr. Herbst will assist the Company in the development of the military applications of its technology.
